The 10 franchises competing in the Indian Premier League have announced the list of released and retained players as well as the amount of money that will be available for the 2023 mini auction which is scheduled to be held next month in Kochi. A total of 16 players were let go by Knight Riders, 13 by Mumbai, including veteran Kieronv Pollard, and 12 by Sunrisers, including captain Kane Williamson. Another captain that was let go is Punjab Kings’ Mayank Agarwal, who was one of the nine players released by the team.  Here is a complete list of players, who were retained or sacked by the ten IPL teams ahead of the new season:

1.Gujarat Titans

Retained players: Abhinav Manohar, David Miller, Darshan Nalkande, Wriddhiman Saha, Pradeep Sangwan, Mohammed Shami, Vijay Shankar, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia, Matthew Wade, Jayant Yadav, Hardik Pandya (c), Noor Ahmad, Yash Dayal, Shubman Gill, Alzarri Joseph, Rashid Khan, and R Sai Kishore.

Released players: Gurkeerat Singh, Varun Aaron, Lockie Ferguson (traded), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (traded), Jason Roy, and Dominic Drakes.

2.Rajasthan Royals

Retained players: Shimron Hetmyer, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy, Devdutt Padikkal, Riyan Parag, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Sen, Kuldip Yadav, Sanju Samson (c), R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Jos Buttler, KC Cariappa, Yuzvendra Chahal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Dhruv Jurel,

Released players: Anunay Singh, Shubham Garhwal, Tejas Baroka, Daryl
Mitchell, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rassie van der Dussen, James Neesham, Corbin
Bosch, and Karun Nair.

3.Lucknow Super Giants

Retained players: Kyle Mayers, Krunal Pandya, Karan Sharma, Marcus Stoinis,
Manan Vohra, Mark Wood, Mayank Yadav, KL Rahul (c), Ayush Badoni, Ravi
Bishnoi, Quinton de Kock, Krishnappa Gowtham, Deepak Hooda, Mohsin Khan,
and Avesh Khan.

Released players: Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Evin Lewis, Andrew Tye, Manish Pandey, Ankit Rajpoot, and Shahbaz Nadeem

4.Royal Challengers Bangalore

Retained players: Virat Kohli, Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Maxwell, Harshal Patel, Rajat Patidar, Suyash Prabhudessai, Anuj Rawat, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, David Willey, Faf du Plessis (c), Shahbaz Ahmed, Finn Allen, Akash Deep, Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, Dinesh Karthik, and Siddarth Kaul.

Released players: Jason Behrendorff, Aneeshwar Gautam, Luvnith Sisodia, Sherfane Rutherford, and Chama Milind.

5.Delhi Capitals

Retained players: Rishabh Pant (c), Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed, Yash Dhull, Praveen Dubey, Aman Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Mitchell Marsh, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya, Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Kuldeep Yadav, Vicky Ostwal, Axar Patel, Ripal Patel, Rovman Powell, and Lalit Yadav.

Released players: Shardul Thakur (traded), Mandeep Singh, Tim Seifert, KS Bharat, and Ashwin Hebbar

6.Punjab Kings

Retained players: Shikhar Dhawan (c), Harpreet Brar, Jonny Bairstow, Raj Bawa, Nathan Ellis, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Chahar, Rishi Dhawan, Arshdeep Singh, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Baltej Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Atharva Taide.

Released players: Sandeep Sharma, Ishan Porel, Vaibhav Arora, Odean Smith, Benny Howell, Mayank Agarwal, Prerak Mankad, Ansh Patel, and Writtick Chatterjee.

7.Kolkata Knight Riders

Retained players: Shreyas Iyer (c), Sunil Narine, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, Lockie Ferguson, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Anukul Roy, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yad av, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, ad Tim Southee.
